Video – Cutter Rush Arrives in Juneau

JUNEAU, Alaska – The Coast Guard Cutter Rush, based out of Honolulu, arrived here today for a regularly scheduled patrol break.The Cutter Rush, currently docked downtown at Station Juneau, will be giving tours tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Tapp, a Rush crew member, was one of several service members called on Christmas day by President Bush.

The Rush will be returning to its patrol Saturday.

Cutter Rush’s major missions include maritime law enforcement, search and rescue, and national security.

Capt. Peter Bergeron is the current commanding officer of the Rush.
