Video – Coast Guard Station New Orleans 45-foot Response Boat Demo

In this video provided by the Eighth Coast Guard District External Affairs Office, Coast Guard Station New Orleans provides a demonstration of the new 45-foot response boat-medium (RB-M) for the media on Lake Pontchartrain, La., Nov. 16, 2010.

The crew displayed the maneuvering capabilities of the new vessel, including a tour of the vessel’s pilothouse by Petty Officer 3rd Class Robert Pate.
The RB-M, which replaced the 41-foot utility boat (UTB), has a top speed of 42.5 knots and features a jet-drive propulsion system.
