Video: Coast Guard says good-bye to fallen Guardian

Puyallup, Washington – Members of the Coast Guard Honor Guard render military honors for Petty Officer 1st Class Ryan Seward during a memorial service held in Puyallup, Wash., Monday, August 10, 2009.

The flag is folded for Rear Adm. Gary Blore, Commander, 13th Coast Guard District, to present to Seward’s wife, Karin.

The flag was presented in honor of Seward’s 20-years of service to the United States and United States Coast Guard following a memorial service in Puyallup, Wash., Monday, August 10, 2009.

Seward, a member of Coast Guard Port Security Unit 313 based in Tacoma, Wash., was killed Tuesday, August 5, 2009, after being struck by an alleged drunk driver.

Seward left behind a wife and three children.
