2 CG Commendation Medals for an E-4 – are you sure they weren’t Comdt’s Letter of Commendation (which is a ribbon, not a medal, & is much lower in precedence)? I don’t want to in any way tarnish this young man’s image after his sacrifice, but accuracy of reporting is the hallmark of journalistic integrity. I may be wrong, but after only 3 years in the Service, I doubt 2 CG Comms would have been awarded.

Is it really necessary to question such a petty fact when a young man gave his life for this country? If he didnt earn them while alive, He sure as hell has earned that and so so much more now. He sacrificed everything so you can still have everything you do and your questioning a medal he may or may not have earned? Im gonna guess you have never served in the armed forces because you obviously do not get what we as a service or his family are going through right now having lost one of our own.
