The Bangor Daily News reports that
Two men have been arrested on charges of arson after they allegedly set fire Wednesday night to another man’s fishing boat in the village of Bunker’s Harbor, according to investigators.
Bradley Wilkinson, 38, of Winter Harbor and Avery Scott, 37, of Gouldsboro were sought by police after witnesses supposedly saw them swimming away from the lobster vessel 1st Run as it sat burning at its mooring at around 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The Coast Guard was initially called to search for the two but were released from the scene when it was determined that the men had made it to shore.
