
HATTERAS, N.C. – The newest members of Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet perform a required survival swim and pyrotechnics firing today in the Pamlico Sound.

All members of the unit are required to perform various survival techniques while in the water. Experienced crews on a 47-foot motor lifeboat and a 25-foot response boat were on hand to evaluate this group of new members.
Station Hatteras Inlet is a multi-mission station that serves the residents and visitors of Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands in search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, and homeland security.
