Training Center Cape May to honor Chief Warrant Officer William Carson

CAPE MAY, N.J. – Training Center Cape May personnel will host a retirement ceremony for Chief Warrant Officer William G. Carson Friday at 2 p.m., in the training center gymnasium.

Carson served the Coast Guard for 30 years and spent all but six months here at Training Center Cape May. He entered the Coast Guard in 1977 and held the following positions: the Percussion Section Leader; the Assistant Bandmaster; the Bandmaster; and the Public Affairs Officer.

He participated in the seven Presidential Inaugurals, General Omar Bradley’s Full Honors Funeral, President Reagan’s Full Honors Funeral, 640 Recruit Graduations with the band, 620 Recruit Graduations as the Master of Ceremonies and more than 40 Sunset Parades.
