Tower near Nobska Point Light to be disassembled

BOSTON — A 120-foot steel tower located directly behind Nobska Point Light in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, is scheduled to be disassembled by the Coast Guard, Monday.

The adjacent dwelling and lighthouse at Nobska Point will not be affected during or after the disassembly. The tower is no longer in service and it is not a functioning part of the lighthouse or dwelling.

The Nobska Point Light is the former home of the commanding officer of Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England and is located in Woods Hole, Mass.
