Coast Guard identifies source of oil sheen in York River
PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Coast Guard investigators identified an oil sheen near the mouth of the York River Wednesday as jet fuel leaking from a nearby tug and barge.
The tug towed the barge to the originating fuel facility on the York River, where crews removed all fuel from the leaking tank, and are removing all remaining fuel aboard the barge.
