Coast Guard sets Port Condition X-Ray for New Orleans and Morgan City

NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard has set Port Condition X-Ray, a 48-hour alert, for the ports of New Orleans and Morgan City, La., in anticipation of Tropical Storm Bonnie, Friday.

HOUSTON – All ports in Texas and Lake Charles, La., are open as the Coast Guard monitors the track of Tropical Storm Bonnie. The Coast Guard will set the appropriate port conditions for the ports located within the Houston-Galveston, Corpus Christi, Port Arthur, and Lake Charles captain of the port zones.

Coast Guard sets port condition YANKEE for South Florida

MIAMI – Effective 9 a.m. this morning, Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Capt. Chris Scraba, increased port conditions for the Port of Miami and Miami River to YANKEE between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. due to the expectation that gale force winds generated by Tropical Storm Bonnie will arrive within 24 hours.

Coast Guard to close Port of Key West at midnight Thursday

KEY WEST, Fla. – Coast Guard units throughout South Florida are preparing for Tropical Storm Bonnie. In accordance with the Coast Guard’s South Florida Hurricane Plan, the Captain of the Port of Key West will set Port Readiness Condition Zulu and close the port of Key West beginning midnight Thursday in anticipation of Tropical Storm Bonnie.
