Coast Guard and partner agencies conduct security checks in Port of Baltimore

BALTIMORE – The Coast Guard, along with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Maryland Transportation Authority Police and Transportation Security Administration worked together today in a multi-agency security operation at the Maryland Port Administration’s Dundalk Marine Terminal to maintain port security and compliance with state and federal regulations.

TWIC non-compliance restrictions lifted for three facilities

MIAMI – Coast Guard Sector Miami rescinded the last of three Captain of the Port Orders on Thursday for three port facilities previously ordered to suspend Maritime Transportation Security Act related operations.

Coast Guard conducts TWIC spot checks at Maritime Transportation Security Act facilities

MIAMI – Coast Guard Field Teams from Sector Miami conducted spot checks at 38 port facilities Tuesday to assess compliance with new federal requirements involving the Transportation Worker Identification Card, or TWIC. Effective Jan. 13, certain workers at port facilities regulated under the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) are now required to hold a TWIC.
