Oil Tanker Eagle Tucson Runs Aground at Mouth of Mississippi River

NEW ORLEANS — A grounded tank vessel is currently blocking deep-draft shipping traffic near the mouth of the Lower Mississippi River. The Coast Guard is responding and monitoring efforts to free the vessel from ground. At this time, 35-foot draft or less vessels are allowed to transit past the grounded vessel one at a time.

Coast Guard responds to tanker ship aground in Delaware River

SALEM, N.J. – The Coast Guard is responding Monday to a tanker ship aground in the Delaware River near Salem N.J., outside the main shipping channel near Baker Range.

Additional oil to be removed from Drift River terminal tanks

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Unified Command, Drift River Terminal Coordination, has approved a plan for further removal of oil from the Drift River tank farm this week.
