HONOLULU — A mariner and his 25-foot sailing vessel have been safely transferred to Molokai after spending 12 days lost at sea.
A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Maui completed the transfer of Ron Ingraham and his sailboat Malia to Kaunakakai, Molokai, at 8:50 a.m., Wednesday.

HONOLULU — A mariner and his 25-foot sailing vessel are being towed to Molokai after spending 12 days lost at sea.
Ron Ingraham is currently aboard Coast Guard Cutter Kiska, a 110-foot Island-class patrol boat home ported in Hilo, en route Kaunakakai, Molokai, with his sailing vessel Malia in tow. Kiska is expected to arrive in Molokai Wednesday at approximately 8 a.m.

HONOLULU — The search continues Sunday for a missing boater who placed a mayday call Thursday saying his vessel was taking on water and in danger of sinking 46 miles west of Kailua-Kona.
A Navy P-3 Orion airplane is currently searching. A Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew will relieve the Orion at 3 p.m. and continue searching throughout the night.
