PORTLAND, Ore. — The Coast Guard and other on-water response agencies are scheduled to conduct Mass Rescue 2009 Exercise, a full-scale multi-agency exercise in the Portland, Ore., and Vancouver, Wash., area Wednesday.
Boat Touches Down in Columbia River
Portland – The Panamanian flagged motor vessel Ultra Ace scraped the bottom of the Columbia River Wednesday evening near CR mile 30. There was no apparent damage to the vessel and no water pollution was reported.
The vessel returned to anchorage in Astoria safetly. The Captain of the Port of Portland has ordered that the vessel complete an underwater hull survey prior to departing the anchorage.
