Cincinnati, OH — Labor Day weekend is September 2-4th, and is one of the busiest recreational boating weekends of the year. The Ohio River is no exception, with approximately 2,000 expected boaters in the Cincinnati area alone and the annual Riverfest being celebrated on Sunday, September 3th. PADUCAH, Ky. – The Coast Guard has reopened the Ohio River to all traffic at Lock and Dam 52 in the vicinity of Paducah, Kentucky, Thursday.

PADUCAH, Ky. — The U.S. Coast Guard closed a portion of the Ohio River due to construction on Lock and Dam 52, Wednesday.

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has established a safety zone on the Ohio River near Louisville, Kentucky, while rescue crews search for missing boaters, Sunday.

Coast Guard updates Ohio River safety zone
CINCINNATI — The Coast Guard has modified the existing safety zone restrictions for vessel traffic on the Ohio River between mile markers 454 to 468, Wednesday evening.
Vessels intending on transiting through the safety zone must transit at a minimum safe speed. In addition, all vessels including recreational traffic must maintain at least 50 yards of separation from boom and shoreside response operations.
