HOUSTON – The Coast Guard rescued a 49-year-old kayaker in West Bay, south of Galveston, Texas, late Wednesday night.
A watchstander at Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston received a call at 8:16 p.m. from the son of the kayaker, who reported his father was in need of assistance. The son reported that his father was disoriented and unable to make it back into shore.
