Coast Guard Academy Cadets conduct research in Arctic, attend initial 2010 Arctic domain awareness flight

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Four Coast Guard Academy Cadets, engaged in a year-long advanced research project on Coast Guard Arctic Region Engagement, will be on the Seventeenth Coast Guard District’s first Arctic domain awareness flight of 2010, Wednesday.

Coast Guard to deliver 13 tons of donated salmon to Kotzebue

KODIAK, Alaska – A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak C-130 Hercules aircraft crew is scheduled to deliver approximately 27,000 pounds of donated silver salmon fillets and dry goods to Kotzebue Monday as part of a special food drive held by Wells Fargo Bank and NANA Regional Corporation.

Sector Anchorage holds change of command on Tuesday

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Coast Guard Sector Anchorage will hold a change of command ceremony 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Susitna Club Ballroom on Elmendorf Air Force Base where Capt. Jason Fosdick will relieve Capt. John Kenyon as Sector Commander. Rear Adm. Christopher Colvin, Commander 17th Coast Guard District will preside at the ceremony.
