SAN FRANCISCO — At 6:48 a.m. today, the U.S. Coast Guard received a report from the tanker Dubai Star that it suffered a rupture in one of its fuel lines and released an unknown amount of fuel into San Francisco Bay.

Coast Guard Responding to Oil Spill in San Francisco Bay

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Coast Guard is responding to an oil slick in San Francisco Bay.  The slick is reported to be a mile to a mile and a half long.  A Coast Guard spokesman said that the Dubai Star had been conducting bunkering operations but that it is unknown at this time if this was the cause of the spill.
