Coast Guard urges diving safety along N.J. coast
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Coast Guard is urging divers, both experienced and inexperienced, to use caution while diving.
The Coast Guard has responded to three diving accidents off the New Jersey coast in 2009 all resulting in fatalities.

ALBION, Calif. – Multiple crews from Coast Guard Station Noyo River assisted Albion Fire Department in the rescue of a 52-year-old male who became trapped in a cave while diving for abalone near Albion, Calif., on Thursday.
Coast Guard Searching For Missing Diver
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard is searching for a missing diver after he did not resurface 50-miles southeast of Mayport, Fla., Wednesday at 11:25 a. m.
The diver is a 46-year-old man in a blue dive suit diving from the pleasure boat Animal Control. When the diver did not resurface, the passengers of Animal Control called rescue coordinators at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville.

Los Angeles- The Coast Guard responded to two separate cases this morning both involving possible dive related illnesses off the coast of California.
