CATALINA ISLAND, Calif. — The Coast Guard has responded to a distress call received this morning, from a 36-foot Grand Banks motor yacht taking on water approximately 7 nautical miles northeast of Catalina Island, Calif. with two people on board.

Coast Guard Cutter Narwhal siezes more than 130 bales of marijuana

SAN DIEGO — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Narwhal, home-ported in Corona Del Mar, Calif., recovered 137 bales of marijuana Nov. 17 in international waters off the coast of Baja California, Mexico.
