Alaskan Congressional Delegation Calls on Homeland Security Secretary to Request Replacement of the Lost HH-60 Helicopter

Washington, D.C. – Alaska’s congressional delegation today wrote to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano urging her to request funding to replace the recently lost HH-60 helicopter from Air Station Sitka.

SEATTLE – The multiple agency response to recover the crewmembers from a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crash that occurred, Wednesday, in the waters near James Island, Wash., has concluded.

SEATTLE – Multiple U.S. Coast Guard units and local response agencies are responding to a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter that crashed in the waters near James Island, Wash.

Coast Guard Helicopter Crashes Near Salt Lake City

A U.S. Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter returning from Olympic security operations crashed this morning 40 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, Utah.  Preliminary reports are that three members of the five person crew were injured in the crash.
