Coast Guard Cutter Healy to arrive in Dutch Harbor

DUTCH HARBOR, Alaska – The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy, based in Seattle, Wash., is scheduled to arrive here Tuesday to offload supplies and personnel before transiting home after compleating the second phase of the Bering Ecosystem Study (BEST).

Largest U.S. icebreaker to arrive in Dutch Harbor

DUTCH HARBOR, Alaska – The United States’ largest icebreaker, Coast Guard Cutter Healy, will arrive in Dutch Harbor on March 31. Healy will be making a logistics stop after completing the first phase of the Bering Ecosystem Study BEST to take on new supplies and personnel for the second phase of BEST. For phase two, Healy will spend six weeks in the Bering Sea conducting scientific research.

Coast Guard cutter Healy to depart for Arctic West Deployment

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard cutter Healy is scheduled to depart its homeport here Wednesday for the three-month Arctic West 2009 deployment.
