Coast Guard’s largest icebreaker visits Juneau

JUNEAU, Alaska – The Coast Guard Cutter Healy, the nation’s largest icebreaker, will arrive and moor at the Coast Guard pier in Juneau Thursday concluding the crews Arctic West Summer 2009 mission.

Coast Guard Cutter Healy arrives in Kodiak after Arctic Patrol

JUNEAU, Alaska — The nation’s largest ice breaker, the Coast Guard Cutter Healy, is scheduled to arrive and moor at pier #2 in Kodiak Tuesday on its trip back to its homeport of Seattle concluding the Arctic West Summer 2009 mission. The crew of the Healy has spent the past three months underway studying Acrtic Ocean hydrography and mapping the Extended Continental Shelf.

Coast Guard ice breaker Healy to visit Seward
