Station Lake Worth Inlet and local agencies search for man overboard near Lake Worth Inlet

MIAMI – The Coast Guard, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are searching for a missing 49- year-old male who fell overboard in the Intercoastal Waterway off Lake Worth Inlet, Fla., Saturday.

Coast Guard Sector Miami search-and-rescue coordinators were notified at approximately 6:55 p.m. that a 49-year-old male wearing blue shorts and no shirt fell overboard from a 31-foot contender class while the boat was underway.

Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet 25-foot rescue boat crew, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office dive unit and FWC response boatcrews, were immediately launched and are searching for the missing man.
