Station Gloucester Searches for Missing 12-Year Old Boy

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. – Coast Guard Station Gloucester was involved in a search for a 12-year old boy last night who was found around midnight in Marblehead, Mass.

The Marblehead Fire Department notified Coast Guard Sector Boston at 9 p.m that they had received a report from the boy’s mother that he had not come home from school.

The boy’s mother reported to the Marblehead Fire Department that her son was missing and had taken camping gear with him. The Fire Department found the boy’s bike on a road leading to Brown’s Island.

A 47-foot motor life boat from Station Gloucester searched the shoreline of Brown’s Island while the fire department searched on land. The boy was found safely on land by local responders and was returned to his family.
