St. Louis Area Boaters to Recieve Coast Guard Public Service Award

 ST. LOUIS – Three local boaters are scheduled to be awarded the Coast Guard Public Service Award for their heroic efforts to assist in the rescue of another boat last September.

Justin Wolfe, Mathew Wolfe, and Zachery Wolfe, aided the Coast Guard and local authorities in locating and rescuing 3 people, whose boat was in danger of beong pulled under a moored barge.

Coast Guard Public Service Awards are given to private citizens, groups, or organizations for helping the Coast Guard carry out its missions.

The ceremony will take place at the Coast Guard Sector Upper Mississippi River office, located in the Robert A. Young Federal Building in downtown St. Louis at 10 a.m. on July 26, 2007.
