Safe Boating Course Offered in Eureka

 Eureka, California – The Coast Guard Auxiliary will be conducting a Safe Boating Course on July 28th at Coast Guard Station Humboldt Bay.

This course is designed to appeal to a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts ranging from hunters, anglers, personal water craft (PWC) operators and the general boating public. Some of the topics covered in this 8-hour course include safety equipment, proper vessel handling, navigation, emergency procedures, boating laws and regulations.

This course was developed by the Coast Guard Auxiliary, in cooperation with the U. S. Power Squadron and is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Successful completion of the course will cover proposed California legislature requiring mandatory boater safety education for all boaters in the state.
