LAROSE — One person is dead and another inhured after a workboat collided with a barge in a canal off the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway near Larose, Coast Guard officials confirm.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when the boat, described as a small crewboat named “Washington” struck a barge believed to have been stationary, according to preliminary information gathered by the Coast Guard.
