PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard, state and local agencies are searching for a missing swimmer off of Bradley Beach, New Jersey.
The Coast Guard was notified of a 31-year old man who reportedly was swept out to sea while swimming on Saturday, at approximately 7 p.m.
Watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay launched an MH-65 Dolphin search and rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, as well as a 29-foot response boat-small crew from Coast Guard Station Shark River and Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet to join the New Jersey State Police, Bradley Police Department and Belmar Water Rescue Team in the search.
The 87-foot Coast Guard Cutter Bonito is on-scene and searched throughout the night.
