Former Colts Draftee Found

November 23, 2006 Miami FL – Ken Duke, a former Baltimore Colts team member was reported missing Wednesday evening after going fishing in the Everglades National Forest. Duke was spotted just after 9 a.m. Thursday by a helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Miami. He told his rescuers that he had become disoriented and could not find his way back to the Flamingo Bay boat ramp.

Duke had been expected to return about noon but his family reported him missing about 7:45 p.m. The Coast Guard immediately launched the helo form Miami, which searched throughout the night. This morning, a helo from Air Station Clearwater ws launched and located him shortly after 9 a.m.

Duke was drafted in the 19th round by the Baltimore Colts in 1966, but never played for them.
