Delaware Coast Guard station to receive stimulus funds

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Coast Guard is scheduled to host Friday Delaware Senator Thomas R. Carper at Coast Guard Station Indian River, Del., to announce the award of $11.5 million the Coast Guard will receive as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Senator Carper will make the announcement scheduled at Station Indian River at 12 p.m. The funds will be used to refurbish the critical infrastructure at the station.

Station Indian River’s missions include search and rescue, maritime law enforcement and national security.
