Coast Guardsman re-enlists while sky diving above Williamstown, N.J.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – A Coast Guard public affairs specialist re-enlisted Thursday before sky diving out of an airplane above Williamstown, N.J.

Petty Officer 1st Class NyxoLyno Cangemi took a six-year oath of re-enlistment with the Coast Guard before jumping out of a plane, operated by Freefall Adventures, at 13,500 feet. Chief Warrant Officer James Mackey swore Cangemi in before he jumped out of the airplane.

“It’s very easy to sign up for six more years when you really love your job,” said Cangemi.

Cangemi will be transferring to Washington where he will serve as the official photographer for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.
