Coast Guard transports woman from Martha’s Vineyard to Hyannis, Massachusetts

BOSTON — An aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Massachusetts, transported a 47-year-old woman to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, Massachusetts, Saturday.

Watchstanders at the 1st Coast Guard District Command Center received a request for assistance at approximately 10:30 p.m., Friday, from Martha’s Vineyard Hospital in Oaks Bluff, Massachusetts, to medically transport a 47-year-old woman who was suffering from a heart attack to Cape Cod Hospital.

An Air Station Cape Cod HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft crew immediately launched and transported the woman to awaiting EMS at Hyannis Airport at approximately 2 a.m., Saturday. She was then taken to Cape Cod Hospital.

Her condition is unknown.
