SEATTLE — A Coast Guard Station Bellingham, Wash., 33-foot Special Purpose Craft-Law Enforcement response crew transported a recreational boater from a boat mooring in Eagle Harbor to medical personnel in Anacortes, Wash., Sunday.
At 11 a.m., a VHF-channel 16 radio request was made from the 41-foot recreational vessel, Dark Matter, stating a male crewmember aboard was suffering a medical emergency and needed immediate assistance. Skagit County 911 relayed further information assisting the response crew to the vessel.
The response crew transported the male crewmember to awaiting emergency medical personnel in Anacortes.
The condition of the transported male is unknown at this time.
