MIAMI, Fla. — An infant was safely transferred to Miami Children’s Hospital by the Coast Guard after it was reportedly having problems breathing Sunday evening.
Coast Guard watchstanders in Miami were notified by Miami Children’s Hospital personnel of a 10-month old having difficulty breathing aboard the cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas that was moored in Coco Cay, Bahamas.
A Coast Guard MH-65 rescue helicopter crew transported a medical team to Coco Cay to assist in stabilizing the infant.
The Coast Guard helicopter crew then transported the medical crew and the infant to medical personnel at Miami Children’s Hospital at approximately 9:45 p.m. Sunday.
