CAPE MAY, N.J. — Enlisted members assigned to the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, N.J. received a little Christmas cheer in the form of a tree donated to them as part of the Trees for Troops program, Dec. 5, 2014.

Trees for Troops is a program ran annually by the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation in partnership with FedEx, and will provide approximately 17,000 Christmas Trees to all branches of the service at 69 bases both here in the U.S. and overseas this year.

“This feeling of generosity, this feeling of family, the simple act of giving a Coast Guardsman and their family a tree at Christmas is so special to our service and to my team here at Cape May,” said Capt. Todd Prestidge, commanding officer of Coast Guard Training Center Cape May.
