Coast Guard to promote Station Annapolis mascot

BALTIMORE — Rosie, a Labrador retriever and the mascot of Coast Guard Station Annapolis, is scheduled to be advanced to First Class Dog in a ceremony at Station Annapolis Friday.

Comparable to enlisted personnel, mascots can move up in rank upon completion of certain qualifications, such as mastering commands and observing the raising of the American Flag.
