CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In an effort to ease the burden on Merchant Mariners applying for a U.S. Coast Guard issued merchant mariner credential, Sector Corpus Christi’s Investigation Section will begin providing finger-printing, taking of oath, and proof of identity services. These services will be available on the third Friday of every month from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 555 N. Carancahua St., suite 500, Corpus Christi, TX 78478. The Investigation Section will not be providing testing or application verification services.
Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi has been approved as a remote facility for Regional Exam Center Houston only. Therefore, all materials received will be sent to the Houston Exam Center. No materials will be sent to any other exam centers. All other application materials must be sent by the mariner to Regional Exam Center Houston.
