Coast Guard to modernize Lake Fort Peck aids to navigation

SEATTLE – The Thirteenth Coast Guard District, headquartered in Seattle, Wash., is scheduled to deploy a 12 member aids to navigation team and an MH-60 Jayhawk Helicopter crew to Lake Fort Peck, Mont., for ten days, beginning June 11, 2010.

Coast Guard members will update the light sources on the lake’s navigational aids to a more modern light emitting diode (LED) optic technology.
