PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard, along with federal, state and local agencies, is scheduled to hold a two-day, full-scale security and pollution response exercise here Tuesday to evaluate the capabilities and effectiveness of the Sector Delaware Bay’s area contingency plan.
The exercise will have participants coordinate pollution incident response during an increased maritime security level.
This will provide the response community an opportunity to improve preparedness, identify weaknesses and strengths, and share best practices within an incident command and unified command framework.
This combined exercise also allows the players to assess the adequacy of resources, plans and policies to support two concurrent missions.
