Coast Guard to hold public meeting for proposed Spaceport Camden safety zones

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a public meeting on Sept. 27 for the proposed Spaceport Camden navigable waterways safety zones near Woodbine, Georgia.

The public meeting will be held at the Camden County Public Service Authority Recreation Center, 1050 Wildcat, Kingsland, Georgia from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for comments involving the proposed maritime safety zones.

Interested parties unable to attend the meeting may submit comments on the regulation.gov website from now until Oct. 11. The full text of the proposed rule document can also be viewed at regulation.gov.

This Notice of Inquiry, also known as Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, is intended to involve the interested public in potential regulatory action at an early stage. Regulatory change based on this Notice of Inquiry will require a separate Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to inform the public of the new rule or regulatory change, which would include an additional opportunity for the public to comment on the proposal.
