BOSTON — The U.S. Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a ceremony establishing Coast Guard Aids-to-Navigation Team Burlington as a stand alone unit, Friday in Burlington, Vermont.
“We are separating the existing unit to standardize and allow our members to become experts in the traditional Coast Guard missions of aids-to-navigation for ANT Burlington, and law enforcement and search and rescue for Coast Guard Station Burlington,” said Chief Warrant Officer Jim Bridges, Coast Guard Sector Northern New England boat forces manager.
The Aids-to-Navigation Team will welcome a new Officer-in-Charge, Chief Petty Officer Sean Smith.
