Coast Guard to conduct active shooter drill at Yerba Buena Island

ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Coast Guard is scheduled to conduct an active shooter drill Wednesday utilizing blanks at Coast Guard Sector San Francisco at Yerba Buena Island.

Shots heard from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. from Sector San Francisco will be from the exercise.

The purpose of the drill is to provide realistic training for all members of Sector San Francisco to ensure they are able to safely and effectively respond in the event of an active shooter scenario.
