Coast Guard, Tiburon Fire Department rescue 2 near Golden Gate Bridge

SAN FRANCISCO – The Coast Guard and the Tiburon Fire Department retrieved two swimmers today from under the Golden Gate Bridge.

Coast Guard Station Golden Gate received a call at approximately 5 p.m. about two distressed swimmers in the water near the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Tiburon Fire Department located and took the swimmers to Station Golden Gate to be assessed by medical personnel.

The status of the swimmers is being evaluated.
