Coast Guard suspends search for swimmer in Bush River near Aberdeen, Md.

Mid Atlantic Coast Guard NewsBALTIMORE — The Coast Guard suspended its search at approximately 5 p.m. Monday for a 35-year-old man after he went swimming and could not be located in the Bush River near Aberdeen Sunday.

Missing is Khaam Xairabong.

A Harford County 911 dispatcher contacted Coast Guard Sector Baltimore watchstanders at approximately 9 p.m., Sunday reporting Xairabong missing.

A crew aboard a 25-foot Response Boat – Small from Coast Guard Station Curtis Bay, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., a Harford County rescue boatcrew, a Maryland State Police helicopter crew and a Maryland Natural Resources Police boatcrew responded to search for Xairabong.

The Coast Guard suspended after searching 17 square miles for approximately 16 hours for Xairabong.
