OCEAN CITY, N.J. – The Coast Guard suspended its search at approximately 9:33 p.m., for a 19-year-old male who went missing in the vicinity of the Longport Bridge near Ocean City, N.J., Friday.
Missing is Josias Sterling.
The Coast Guard crews searched approximately 31 square miles for approximately 8.5 hours.
A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Great Egg, N.J., and two rescue boat crews from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City were involved in the search. Members of Beach Patrol, the Ocean City Police Department and New Jersey State Police were involved in the search as well.
