NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard suspended their search for a missing swimmer near Navarre Beach, Florida, Wednesday.
The search for 64-year-old Jay Wiley Evans was suspended at 8:52 p.m., Wednesday, after the Coast Guard and local agencies searched for over 22 hours, covering over 396 square-nautical-miles.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile received the report Tuesday evening that Mr. Evans had not returned from his daily swim off of Navarre Beach.
