PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Coast Guard has suspended it’s search for a sailor reported missing from a merchant vessel, 80 miles off the Virginia coast, this evening.
Search crews onboard two C-130’s from Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., and the merchant vessel, Ever Refine, started searching the waters off Virginia shortly after the 23-year-old Chinese native, was discovered missing from the merchant vessel at approximately 1:30 this morning.
The ship’s crew initially noticed that the man was missing around midnight and conducted two thorough searches of the ship for te missing man before contacting the Coast Guard.
