SAN FRANCISCO – The US Coast Guard has suspended the search for a missing swimmer near Pacifica Pier.
At approximately 8:40 p.m. yesterday evening after nearly six hours of searching over 45 square miles along the Pacifica shoreline, the search for the swimmer was called off. Multiple Coast Guard and local law enforcement assets saturated the Pacifica shoreline searching for any signs of the distressed swimmer with negative results.
The Coast Guard will be completing next of kin notifications.
The name and information of the individual is not being released at this time.
