Coast Guard Suspends Search For Missing Man

BALTIMORE – The Coast Guard has suspended a search for a man that was last seen reportedly entering the Atlantic Ocean near 49th Street in Ocean City, Md., last night.

The Coast Guard was initially notified by the Ocean City Police Department at 1:08 a.m. after finding clothing on the beach that a witness reportedly saw the man take off before going into the water. There was no identification in the clothing.

Coast Guard crews from Station Ocean City and Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., were deployed and conducted a search of the area throughout the early morning hours.

The search and rescue efforts were suspended pending further development.
